Do users need a special viewer or version of Adobe to view a 3D PDF?

The best part about 3D PDF is anyone who has the free Adobe Acrobat Reader can interact, rotate, and experience working with 3D, with no viewers, special versions, just the normal Adobe Reader most of the world already has installed on their desktop.

Hi,
I have a lot of difficulties to use a pdf 3D on adobe Reader. It seems to be a problem between adobe and my GPU.
Does somenone know another free pdf 3D viewer ?
Thanks

Nicolas

Hello Nicolas,

You can enable the hardware rendering in Acrobat → Edit → Preferences → Multimedia & 3D.

Also note that new Acrobat 64 bits only have the Software Renderer and this can cause performance issue. 32 bits version still have the DirectX Renderer.
