My new client has brought me some 3d files exported from Artec Studio in PLY format. What should I do in this case, since Tetra4D doesn’t support this format? Should I ask him to make a re-scan and save in STL?

As it seems to be a meshing format, yes, STL looks like the format that has to be used for such a work 
but it seems this software can also export WRL and OBJ…you can have “nice surprise” by also trying one of them…
